My first outdoor cinema experience in more than 20 years.. or was it 30?? hmm.. it was so long ago. I remember there was van that used to come by the town every few months or so and show these really old films at the 'town padang'. Wow! I remember how great it was, watching big screen movie under the stars :-)

Well, last night I went to one in Burswood with Janet and Evelyn. When we arrived there were already people setting up their "territory". They had picnic chairs, blankets, food.. some even brought their pillows and bean bags!! We were there with our picnic chairs, some food, coffee..hmmm.. heaven!! and sweaters and blankets.. yeah it was cold and as the night progressed, we were very thankful for the sweaters and blankets. In a way, it is like a picnic under the stars :-) I think it is great, especially when you go with a few friends. The first movie started at 8pm, 'Music and Lyrics' which was a light comedy by Hugh Grant and Drew Barrymore. The little girl sitting in front of me was happily dancing to the songs. When the first movie ended, everyone made a bee line for the toilet to get ready for the second show. The second show was not as great though. It was about a man who has his life dictated by a writer. Hmm... I can't seem to remember its title, it was that boring..haha..Anyway, we sat through the whole movie and only got home a quater to midnight. All in all it was great :-)
