Question that some women ask part 2 - What do you do after a break-up? ..A popular topic for now, prob coz I am going through one meself :-(

Interesting question. Post break-up - difficult times but not the end of the world. You think of him all the time, you wonder what he was doing, wondering if he is thinking about you, etc etc.. well, you know the drill. Some people deal with it without major drama, some take a much longer time. So, for those of you who can't seem to break away from that helpless lonely feelings after a break-up , here are some tips I found on a website :-) Heheh... not my tips, but they sound reasonable enough, and they do make perfect sense:

Walk out of your heartache, knowing that you have done all that you can do, said all that you can say, and given as much as you could give. If you feel you did your part as best you could, but he or she didn't meet you halfway, then you'll be just fine.

As trite as it may sound, this one bears repeating: find something constructive to do - something that will hold your attention and require you to focus and get interested. Once you've spent a few days (or weeks) indulging the grief, it's time to take a class or maybe join a book group. Find something that gets you out of the house and out of your circular thought process and involves your brain or your creative side. Sometimes you've forgotten who you were before you hooked up with the person you're so sad about now, and you need to wake yourself up a bit and remember that you used to have fun doing things you've forgotten about since then. You've got a brain, go use it for something besides re-running old memories!

Remember those old catch phrases: "What doesn't kill you makes you stronger", "Everything happens for a reason", "There are other fish in the sea" and likewise. When you go through a break up or some other emotionally challenging time in your life, you're actually getting closer to finding true happiness because you are getting to know your true inner self. This may or may not include marriage or romantic relationships... and that is okay, no matter what you do in life.

As simple as this sounds, be clear to yourself that you are actually breaking up. Too often the thoughts of possibly being back together gradually eats at you and destroys your emotional well being. Accept the truth of your situation, and commit to it.

Keep your dignity. Many times, it's our ego that causes the pain; we feel rejected and deceived, embarrassed. We doubt our self worth and adequacy. So what better way to survive this than to not give yourself any more reason to feel ashamed, but instead feel pride in yourself - volunteer, take a class, do things that remind you of your value as a person.

Remember that this pain just has to be survived. It takes a season of time to heal, like a broken arm. You won't die from it, though you may feel like you will for a time. Eventually, though, you will feel better, the pain will lessen, and you will be able to love again.

Don't look for so many distractions from the pain, emptiness, or heartache that you fail to process the emotions adequately. You're supposed to grieve a lost relationship in which you'd invested yourself emotionally. Think about it - what kind of person could just say, "Whatever" and walk away as if nothing had happened? Ride it out - turning to destructive distractions like drugs, alcohol, casual sex, etc. will only make things worse, and can actually prolong the entire grieving process. If you try to hide from the pain, it just waits around the corner and jumps out at you as soon as the temporary relief of your "distraction" wears off. The best and only way to get to the other side of the sadness is to go straight through it with a clear head. Believe it or not, it's the fastest way as well. It won't be long until you do feel better.

If you were the one who got "dumped," avoid the temptation to chase after your ex, ask them questions about what went wrong, and try to "fix" everything. It will only strengthen your ex's resolve to push you away, and will make the breakup much harder and more painful than it needs to be.

So there you go. A few tips to keep you going. I learnt long ago not to drown myself in sorrow, for time does not stop when you are mourning your lost. Mourn you must but after that, move on. You will not capture the time you lost ever again, so don't waste it. A friend told me once that if he doesn't appreciate my love, then why should I bother with him. I think that is fair. I may seem to cope well with my break-up but truth is, it still hurts when I think about it (I wouldn't be human if it doesn't). I am still dazed at what happened but I chose to look forward, grief and all. I have done all I could, and given all I could.

A heartbreak allows both parties to have a breather, to look at what happened from the outside, and decide what is the next step. If it doesn't look good, then move on, look for another.. yeah yeah.. as if it is that easy. If only there is a supermarket selling men eh?? haha... I know it is not easy, I tell myself it is not. Ah well, if there is no luck this lifetime, maybe the next? Hahaha.. hey, gotta have some humour sometimes :-D

Snooze partner

A snooze partner... 'A partner to keep your bed warm' - in case your are wondering what a snooze partner is. Is there such a thing? I have heard of an activity partner in bed, you know a partner to do things with. Now,now, before you get all worked up, activity as I pointed out to someone I know, can mean a lot of things - reading, chatting.. ahh etc etc :-) Of course there is also that activity that people do in bed, but we are not going to go into that. Anyway, coming back to our snooze partner, I wonder if such person exist! Hmmm.... tricky question indeed :-)

Bouncing boobs Part II..

Hehe.. remember bouncing boobs?? Now you must be wondering why is this girl so obsess with boobs? Well, I can't help it if people keep bouncing them while walking.. haha.. Today, it's not the issue with no bra, it is actually bouncing with bra!!! Right, imagine, big boobs, small poorly -supported bra, tight top and high heel shoes!! Can you see bouncing??? Heheh... well, I can't help it if most boobs are at my eye level - the curse of being short in an ang mo country. But then perhaps the lady was just trying to flaunt her 'asset' :-) I wonder if men like watching bouncing you know what :-)

Talking about being short, it is also a disadvantage when I am in the bus. I was travelling home from work today and the bus was kinda full. So I got a seat next to a girl. I much prefer the window seat, but beggars can't be choosers, right? Anyway, there was nothing wrong with the girl next to me. As the bus moved along it stopped by almost every stop to pick up people who were also as eager as me to get home. In came this tall man, who happened to park himself next to me. Now in a situation like this, there are 2 ways one can stand, on the aisle, facing the front, or side with body facing the passenger, which is a preferred position in order for one to hang on to the rail above. (Again if you are short, you just hold on to the back rest, can't reach the rail above) If you stand facing the passenger, you will always have your bum facing the other passenger. This is what happened. He was facing the other side, his bum was facing me. Now, since I am short, this puts my face right to the level of his bum!! Now, don't laugh. If I were taller, I would be facing his back. As I was sitting there, I kept thinking, what if he 'break wind'???? OMG.. that would be awful!!! Hahahahaha... he didn't, fortunately, but it could happen.. :-) I am awful, aren't I???? Sorrry.. hehehe...

Then there was this man who wanted to exit the bus. As usual when you want to exit, ring the bell, stand up and start walking towards the door. But what happens when the bus is quite full and there are people already standing at the doorway? Well then, just stand where you are and wait until the bus stops. Now I am not advising you on what to do.. I actually wanted to highlight a little thing that the man did. He rang the bell, then stood up. He had a big backpack with him. Naturally when seated, backpack comes off and rest on the knee. When it's time to alight, naturally it goes back to the shoulder. This was what he did - he swung his backpack onto his shoulder and guess what?? Right into my face. Nearly hit me!! Again I thought, this is really me living dangerously!! What if he swung and hit my face???? And while standing there and the bus was still moving, his body moved too, so I had the bag right at my face. I had to turn my face the other way! My imagination was running wild with 'what ifs'!! Hahah.. I think I read too many Calvin and Hobbes comics..

Win a boob job for your girlfriend!!

That is the offer made by men's magazine 'Zoo'. Yeap, so, all the guys have to do is send in the pic of their girlfriend/wife's cleavage and the lukcy boob could win the ultimate prize, a $10,000 breast implants job. They magazine is offering this as an online competition and since it was launched, the website has been getting very warm response indeed!! Men seem to love the idea, stating that they it is the best and most romantic gift they could give to their girlfriend/wife. Apparently guys have this facination for big boobs!! :-) And the women's response? Disgusted, of course!!and appalled!! Men should not be treating women like objects of their satisfaction! Instead, they said that their boyfriend/husband should love them for who they are and not for their boob :-) The competition is not only open to men, apparently women can participate as well!! Authorities are checking whether this is a legit offer.. haha.. Now what will they think of next?

Why do people insist on walking towards the door after they rang the bell? I see this every day on the bus to and from work. Why can't they wait till the bus stops before walking towards the door? It is so dangerous for the when the driver brakes, you can just get thrown to the front, unless you hold on tight to the seats beside you. And the best part is, young people are not the only ones do this, older people do it too :-) It's as if they are scared that they might not get to the door in time to hop off!!

Now that reminds me of KL mini buses, years ago when they were still operational. The mini buses were little buses that everyone used to get around, simply because they were cheaper and could run faster. The only problem with them was that they were always full, to the brim, or rather to the door. I remember the bus driver used to say, "Masuk dalam lagi" (go further in)and you had to squeeze - like sardines!! So imagine 2 people sitting on 2 rows of seats on each side and 2 people standing side by side, or rather backside to backside on the aisle!! When it's a hot day, it was like an oven inside the bus and everyone sweat!! And if you happen to be short like me and standing next to a taller person, oh boy!! The worse part was, there was only 1 door, in front, next to the driver! So imagine if you were at the rear of the bus and you wanted to get down. You need to ring the bell and immediately started walking, or squeezing your way through to the front. And if you're lucky, you'd get there by the time the bus stopped. If you sensed that you were not going to make it, shout loudly that you were still on the bus!! Haha!!! That was funny!

An Irony of Life... but true :-)

Gentlemen and Ladies.. this is soooo true :-)

Men:

1. All men are extremely busy.

2. Although they are so busy, they still have time for women.

3. Although they have time for women, they don't really care for them.

4. Although they don't really care for them, they always have one
around.

5. Although they always have one around them, they always try their luck
with others.

6. Although they try their luck with others, they get really pissed off
if the woman leaves them.

7. Although the woman leaves them they still don't learn from their
mistakes and still try their luck with others.

Women:

1. The most important thing for a woman is financial security.

2. Although this is so important, they still go out and buy expensive
clothes and stuff.

3. Although they always buy expensive clothes, they never have something
to wear.

4. Although they never have something to wear, they always dress
beautifully.

5. Although they always dress beautifully, their clothes are always just
"an old rag".

6. Although their clothes are always "just an old rag", they still
expect you to compliment them.

7. Although they expect you to compliment them, when you do, they don't
believe you.

Braless??

I was waiting for the bus home today when suddenly my attention was diverted to a young lady running across the road. What caught my attention was not her running, it's normal to run when you're jaywalking.. haha, it's seing her bouncing boobs (yeap, you read me correctly) while she was running that really makes me wonder why some women go without bras, especially when their boobs are of a significant size. I have nothing against going braless, sometimes it's great, you don't feel restricted..just not when you are planning on running around.. hahah... Now ladies, don't get offended.. it was just my observation of the day :-)
