I have forgotten about this song until I watched the DVD!

Color of the Night

Sing along?? :-) (Oh I miss karaoke!! haha)

"The Color Of The Night"

You and I moving in the dark
Bodies close but souls apart
Shadowed smiles and secrets unrevealed
I need to know the way you feel

[Chorus:]
I'll give you everything I am
And everything I want to be
I'll put it in your hands
If you could open up to me oh
Can't we ever get beyond this wall

'Cause all I want is just once
To see you in the light
But you hide behind
The color of the night

I can't go on running from the past
Love has torn away this mask
And now like clouds like rain I'm drowning and
I blame it all on you
I'm lost - God save me...

[Chorus:]
'Cause all I want is just once
To see you in the light
But you hide behind
The color of the night

[Chorus:]
'Cause all I want is just once
Forever and again
I'm waiting for you, I'm standing in the light
But you hide behind
The color of the night

Please come out from
The color of the night

Visit Margaret River Chocolate Factory -again?

Haha.. yeah, it's one of places to visit when you visit Perth, and the best thing is you don't have to be in Margaret River (about 4 hours drive) to be in it's chocolate factory!! This factory is in Swan River (about 40 mins drive!) :-)

It's a chocolate haven and if you looooooove chocolate, you will like this place. Not only are they selling .. you know what.. they also have a cafe which serves delicious everything chocolate as well as other yummy food!

The year 2009 has come and gone. It is also my third year living in this stranger land. So far so good. I've also had friends and families visiting, so it was kinda like Visit Beth year :-) Anyway, here are some of the interesting activities taken during those visits:

First up, a visit to New Norcia, a small town north of Perth. It is a monastic town, set up by the Benedictine monks in 1846. The town boasted some historical sites like the boarding schools, St Ildephonsus' and St Gertrude's and the aboriginal boarding schools, St Mary's and St Joseph's.There are no longer students staying or schooling there, and these buildings have been converted for accommodations and venues for social functions. There is also the Abbey Church and the old flour Mill. The town still produces freshly baked bread daily, which is the most delicious bread I've ever eaten. Nowadays, you can take a local tour and visit all the historical buildings, including the monastery where Benedictine monks still live. You can also pack your bags and spend a weekend there. The town is quiet and peaceful and indeed a good place to go for a retreat. And hey, rumour has it that there are sightings of spirits in the town too!!!!

This memorable visit happened in November when Sr Celestina, Helena (Sis's sister) and mom came for a visit. We drove up there in the morning and it took us about 1.5 hours. Arrived there in time for lunch, which we had at the New Norcia Hotel. Afterwards we walked around the area and took lots of pictures.

Julie & Julia - a story about Julie a married woman facing the dreading 'becoming 30' who decided one day to pursue a 'passion' - and she chose cooking. Her goal was to cook all the recipes in Julia Child's cookbook 'Mastering the Art of French Cuisine'and write about her adventure in her new blog.

It's a lighthearted movie with lots of laughter :-)

Go watch it!!!
